anyone get their FED tax refund and NOT state?
I got our federal tax refund on 3/1, but not our state refund yet. We filed and was accepted 2/21.
I've checked the website to find out status and it's not even showing up.
anyone else have this problem?

I filed Feb 11th and got my Federal two week later, end Feb. Still no State Tax refund yet. Waiting...
ETA: I just checked on Where's My Refund and it says it can't find my State Taxes,

ETA: I just checked on Where's My Refund and it says it can't find my State Taxes,
that's what i mean! I even got the confirmation email that it was accepted so i don't get it.

Nys is auditing a lot of people this year. State always takes longer than federal.

it's just weird because we've always gotten it a week later in the past (direct deposit).

I heard this too...I think it has something to do with the fact that NYS doesn't have a lot of $$$ so they are trying to audit as much as possible

In the state dept of taxation and finance? I've heard this consistently for the last 5 years. NY and other states are broke. It makes sense that they want more revenue but audits can be costly too.

in the past FED always came so much quicker than the state. sometimes as late as 3 weeks after our federal refund.

I received my FED on 2/21 and am set to receive my state on 3/11. It showed up when I tried to track my refund on the NYS website. FH got his 3 days after his FED deposit.. Go figure.. LOL

Got fed within 2weeks. State ended up mailing mine a good 3 or 4 weeks later.

I got state within 3 weeks. Still haven't gotten Fed. It just says
"processing." We filed later bc we claim DS's tuition and they weren't accepting those right away. I hope we get it soon.

We did our taxes back in February but were waiting on the energy forms to be finished so we couldn't submit. It was just submitted the first week of March and we got our direct deposit today. We have always received the federal before the state.

So weird the NYS website updated that I should receive my money by 3/21 but this morning I received an email that my refund was issued (although I didn't see it in my account) I filed and was accepted on 2/25
