How much do your utilities cost a month?

We currently live in a coop where this is all included in maintance. I know that it varies month to month.

How much do your utilities cost on average?

Just to give you an idea house has central air, oil heat , @ 1900 sq feet, built in 2006 so pretty new construction which I hope means it is well insulated as opposed to an older home.

i'm in a 2 bedroom, 5 room apartment on the second floor of a house. i only pay electric ($76 a month) and gas for cooking and hot water ($60 a month). I don't pay for heat. im on balanced billing for both.

We have a similar size home. We pay approx. $700/mo in winter months for oil and then usually one fill to get through summer months, electric is between $175/mo in winter up to $350/mo in summer for CAC.
We also have cable $160/mo, sewer and water usually alternate and are around $60 or $30/mo or less each.

We have a 3 bedroom, one story. We are on a budget. I just paid National Grid $45 and LIPA $157. We have gas heat and an electric hot water heater.

1400 square foot home, oil heat, no CAC but we have window AC units and a pool that use a decent amount of electric in the summer, insulation and windows aren't very new

oil - $2800 a year (we keep the temp around 70)
electric - $200/month balanced billing
water - $400/year
cable/internet/cell phones - $350/month
alarm system - $30/month
exterminator - $300/year
homeowners insurance - $1200/year (approx i think)

this is the majority of the stuff i figure into my monthly home budget. then there are plenty of other costs to consider such as home maintenance, lawn service, etc.

We have a split level it's around 1700 sq ft we are on balanced billing:
$107- LiPa
$80- Gas
$140- Verizon
$33/winter $100/ summer -Every 2 months

Our house is almost the same size (about 1800 sq ft).

Electric is around $120 per month (higher during summer months when we run the ac a lot.
Oil is $200 a month on balanced billing (yearly its pricey- about $2400)
Water is super cheap. About $30 every 3 months!!!!
Phone and cable- $115
Cell phone- $150 for both of us.

Another stupid question...

I am in Queens. Does Con Ed do balanced billing? Does being in the city really matter other than Con Ed Vs. Lipa?

Also if you have a pool how much more does the pool cost in the summer? the pool is a large oval semi in ground..thanks again

I just got my most recent oil bill and it was over $800. We have a cape and I know its insulated well since we did the work.

the only real between LI and Queens is for water if i remember correctly.
I pay in Nassau about $30 every 3 months. My cousin uses jamaica water and pays 3 or 4x that for her water.

we have a split, CAC, forced hot air heat, gas cooking electric washer and dryer

I also do balanced billing, LIPA varies between $100 and $130, National Grid varies between $60 - $80 a month depending on the time of the year

electricity... about $80-90 per month on average
gas... as low as $30 per month in the summer & as high as $175 per month in the winter
water... about $110 every 3 months

My house is slightly smaller but also newer (1999) so it's well insulated. We have CAC, Oil Heat, Electric appliances, AG Pool, IGS.

Oil - $125/mo. on Budget
Electric - Was just increased from $124/mo. to $143/mo. on Budget
Cable - Triple Play + 3 Premium Channels w/ Cablevision - $132/mo.
Water - Varies on time of year b/c of pool and IGS - $30-$100/quarter

gas (stove and heat) $20-$250 (summer v winter)
electricity $150-300 (summer AC and xmas lights cause increases)
water $10 every 3 months
