Anyone attend True North Community Church in Bohemia?

I am looking for a new church for personal reasons.
Can anyone tell me about True North. How is the vibe there? Is it a welcoming place for new attendants. What is a typical Sunday service like?
Anything else you can add would be great. I checked out their website and everything seems so inviting. I am really feel as though this may be a great place for my family but I just wanted to see how others felt about the church.
I want to return to attending service on Sundays. I just want a place where I feel welcomed and comfortable.

I went to a true north once in port jeff, it may be the same one bc the one in port jeff is no longer there. it was a very young group. Lots of music anddancing. it was fun but not for me.

I have been there a few times. We are in the process of touring a variety of churches, so we aren't actual congregants there.

It's very modern.. lots of music, short sermon, monitors and speakers all over so you don't miss the service - even if you have to go to the bathroom.

It's mostly Christian Rock music when they sing/play. Not bad at all. Lots of people raising their arms and swaying and singing along... Rob says it's like a rock concert.

The congregation is on the younger side.

The decor is sleek. The cafe looks very much like a Starbucks, the outside looks like an office building. They serve free bagels and coffee/tea before service.

The people are nice and the messages are simple and easy to understand.

I'd suggest you try it!

We know several people who have left our church and attend True North now. They are the same congregation that used to meet in Port Jeff. I have heard good things about it. DH has been several times.

Thanks so much for the input. I have been on the website much of DS nap listening to clips of the service. I LOVE what I heard. Now reading all the positive things here I am more convinced this place is the right place. I hope so.

My girlfriend is going to bring her family with mine and we are going to attend service Sunday. I am excited.

You will love the music and the message. It is a very unique place....as my husband says 'A church for those who don't like going to church' It is a wonderful, welcoming place, but it is big. They are growing as a congregation so fast they have had to move and now add extra service times because they couldn't fit everyone in who was coming! There's a reason for that! Come and see.

Several of my family go & love it! My Aunt who is 100% catholic will go when she is in town & she likes it. I've gone once when in NY & I liked it also. I'd probably go if I lived on Long Island.

Bumping this old post - we go to TNCC and love it, but it's so big I'd love to meet more people. Message me if you go - (or if you'd like to!) I'm in the nursery occasionally but it would be nice to know more people!
