Where did you have your extremely large outdoor 1st bday party?

Western Suffolk, Eastern Nassau

We have a ridiculously large family. For her christening we did JUST family and a few very close friends (8 friends total). And that was 96 people.

For her first bday I would like to invite more friends. I had a tragedy in my family and I just want to really celebrate with everyone we know and love.

Approx 125 people.

Hoping for an outdoor space as it will be in the summer. We can possibly fit that many at our house but I'd prefer to do it at a place.

We did ours in our backyard...we own a tent so it was perfect :)

I don't know if I could fit that many people... We're on like 60x100.

We had a large 1st birthday outside and we did it in our backyard. Rented a tent.

ETA: Remember that with an outside party, not everyone is going to be sitting down at the table the entire time. People don't even all eat at the same time. There was lots of wandering and sitting in different places. We utilized our outdoor furniture as well and had areas set up in different places in our yard in addition to the tent.

We had ours at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford. They have picnic areas that you can reserve in advance for the day.

Beforee we moved to nj we had it at my parent's house. Around 70 something people. For DS 2 about the same amount and in our backyard. It's a pretty big backyard with a pool. We also have a tent where we kept the food under.

how about the Ecology Center in Holtsville? They have an outdoor pavillion and I think, while its tight, you could swing it.

We had over 100 people and had it at Lido Beach. We rented out one of the mushrooms. I don't know if they were effected by Hurricane Sandy though.

I have done large outdoor parties at Lido Beach (The Mushrooms)
Hecksher Park - rent one of the Pavillons

There are also a few caters that do BBQs - works great at the parks.
