Am I insane to take the kids to see Santa at the mall Christmas Eve?
Related to my earlier post, Santa at Hick's is gone which was my original plan. Dad is feeling a bit better and wants to take them tomorrow. I was thinking either Roosevelt Field, or the Source. Will it be a mob scene? I am usually so organized and Santa would have been done already, but things have been INSANE lately.
I want to have that picture with the kids with Pop Pop and Santa, but I don't want to ruin our whole day waiting on line or having my Dad exposed to too many people. Thoughts?

Last year, we took our then 23 month old and 3 week old boys to the Source on Christmas Eve. There was no line whatsoever. We walked in, walked right up to him, took our photos, and we were out of there. There was one or 2 people on line after us. I think by Christmas Eve, most people are done with Santa pics. I also think the Source Santa is far more likely than RF to be not crowded. We are planning to take our boys there tomorrow too for the same reason!
ETA: We went in the morning last year, like maybe 10ish.

I wouldnt go to Roosevelt Field Mall tomorrow. I would try either the Source or Broadway mall.

Go early. Procrastinators will still be procrastinating early. lol. I was at target yesterday and thought it would be mobbed but it wasnt.

Last year I went to Smithaven on Christmas Eve. There was no line, I walked right up to Santa and had my pic done.
It was around 1pm also! I was shocked!
