2 weeks postpartum - I'm sick!
Not sure what to do. Gave birth two weeks ago and everything has been fine! Yesterday I started having some stomach cramps and diahrea that has now continued to today. I have a headache and feel very warm. I am also nauseas.
I am not sure if I should call the dr (and if so- who? OB? ) or just wait it out.
Any BTDT moms?
And I am breastfeeding. I looked up mastitis - but while my boobs are sore, thy aren't red or anything.

maybe you have a virus? non birth related. Everyone i know is sick. I would call anyway.

Sorry you feel so poorly!!! Give the baby as much BM as possible. It will help keep your LO safe.

Thanks so much everyone. I called the OB and the nurse congratulated me on getting my first stomach virus EVER. She recommended calling my PCP and the pediatrician regarding breastfeeding my 2 week old. The ped said to absolutely continue and watch for a fever in the baby :(.
My PCP stinks and all I got was a busy signal. I'll call tomorrow.
I haven't eaten anything but trying to stay hydrated. I am also BF as much as possible so the baby gets the antibodies and stays hydrated.
I see from the other stomach virus thread, it is going around! I actually caught it taking DS to the pediatrician yesterday. I got in the elevator with a kid who I then saw throwing up in the parking lot! The only time I have left the house!

It may be an unrelated stomach virus BUT I would call because you are breastfeeding. Try and stay hydrated and eat what you can to help your supply. Also ask about antidiarrha meds that are BF safe. Feel better!
