Please tell me this happens to others... Re pillow cases getting a bleached look
We had dark brown (well made high thread count) sheets when we started to notice the brown getting a spotty bleached look to it. I thought maybe it was from going to bed with my hair wet, but i dont highliht/bleach it, i get it colored brown to cover grays. So then I started putting a towel down when I did have wet hair. No help.
Then I bought another good set but this time light blue. Again all the pillowcases have spots of bleach looking marks. I made it a point to not sleep with wet hair and it still happened.

It is only the pillowcases the sheets are perfect. Same with the brown sheets I had.
I rarely use bleach to wash clothes so it cant be that.
  Does this happen to anyone?

Do you use Pro- activ? This happened to me and I found out that's what caused it...or it could be some other product you use on your face/skin.

I just noticed this today while doing my laundry.
Our pale green sheets have much lighter spots on the pillows. It's on both my and DH's pillows. I have no idea what it's from!

This happens to me all the time and I use Proactive. Just bought really nice sheets for our new bed and got spots on my pillow case after just one night.

I was curious so I googled it. Drooling and sweating seam to be a cause. Not saying that you drool or sweat. Not that there is anything wrong with that LOL

Lol ill blame dh for that

Any kind of acne cremes or washes will do it.

Good to know - I was blaming DH for putting bleach in the laundry with the pillow cases

It's definitely sweat. I can always tell which pillow cases we on my side or DH because he's a night sweater.

I would think whitening toothpaste could maybe do this?

Ditto! Wish I had figured that out sooner. So many ruined sheet sets!
