What, if anything, can I use for dry skin on their hands? They like to suck their fingers so Im afraid to put anything there. Tia

Do they suck on their fingers when they are sleeping? If they don't then I would put some aquaphor on them while they sleep. Otherwise, when they are awake, try an organic lotion like babyganics.

The only thing working for me is the aquaphor, none of the other lotions work and her skin is peeling

Vasaline during the day. My kids are both thumb suckers and their thumbs and flesh between the thumb and finger is always red and raw. Vasaline works great.

Re: newborn- dry skin
Slather them up with lotion the rub off with a washcloth in the bath. My ped said not to use anything. If use some California baby stuff but not on hands.

Re: newborn- dry skin
our dr said nothing on the hands since they go in their mouth constantly. Or if something was applied, make sure you cover them after; i just use the mitts on the long sleeve shirts to cover DS's hands
