Reaction to MMR vaccine?

DS got his MMR vaccine at his 15 mo appt last Friday. We were made aware than 1 in 8 have a relation to the vaccine - fever and/or measles like rash. This past Friday DS started spiking temps (103.9 rectal) and today he's got the measles like rash on the trunk (minor and not bothering him.

Anyone else's DC have this happen? How long did it last for?

DS is still acting, drinking, peeing, pooping, all the norm, so I'm not all that worried. More like annoyed!

Reaction to MMR vaccine?

It Happened to my daughter. She had a rash on her legs trunk and Rs. She never got a fever, but I brought her to doctor and it was def a reaction to mmr. It happened about 10 days after shot. She acted normal. It started to go away after 4 days, but since she is light skinned it took about 3 weeks to completely not be able to seen. No more live vaccines for her for a while!!!

Reaction to MMR vaccine?

DD had a reaction. Fever and was just "off" for over a week. She was totally back to normal eventually but it was a rough few weeks.

Re: Reaction to MMR vaccine?

Yes, my DS got the rash it was mostly on his torso but did spread. The rash bothered him. He also had a fever. I think the whole thing was over in a week if I remember (it was 2.5 years ago) - I think the rash was bad for about 4 days. I will say, he got the shot when he was older (2.5) and I think it was muted because of that. His fever was only high 101's I believe and he was able to articulate to me about the rash.

DD didn't get the fever, but got the measles-like rash. I feel like it lasted 3-5 days (can't remember exactly). She was covered all over the trunk of her body. I remember taking her to the beach thinking people were going to think she actually had the measles. Otherwise, she was acting fine though.

My DD just got hers 10 days ago and yesterday I noticed she has the measles-like rash on her belly. No fever and other than being a little cranky the past 3-4 days, she is acting normally. The rash doesn't seem to bother her, so I'm hoping it will just fade after a few days.
