Silly question - how would I know if DD has a yeast infection?
Lately she creams when I am changing her diaper, including when I wipe her. I read some other posts that it is possible for LO to get a yeast infection, aside from taking her to the doctor how would I know if she has one?
Thanks.

Are you talking about a yeast diaper rash? When DD gets them they are like regular diaper rashes but have lots of dots the get inflamed then crust up before healing. Yum!

They look just like a diaper rash, but also have tiny dots. I always know it's fungal if diaper cream doesn't make the red go away in a day or two. I go right to the Lotrimin AF and it will clear it up almost overnight. But you have to use it for a few weeks.

I see, thanks. She does not have a diaper rash. I really don't know what else the problem could be.

Maybe as the temp got colder she doesn't like the cold wipes. Maybe try a wipe warmer.

I used warm during the winter. NO MATTER WHAT
But she's had fungal injections and yeast. The area got really red and she'd have discharge if it was yeast. Yeast infections had an odor to it. Fungal did not. Both required treatment. The fungal required serious stuff, yeast cleared itself up pretty quickly.
But yeah I used warm to 'kill' any bacteria. She also liked it better.
