Weaning and Hormones..
I have been an EP and now that DD is approaching her first bday I am trying to wean off the pump. I started reducing my number of pumps a day around thanksgiving, I am down to two pumps a day now, and I am SUPER emotional- not about the pumping but just about leaving DD, life etc I know some of it has to do with unhappiness at work/career and nostalgia over DD turning 1, but it just occuured to me that maybe the reduced pumping is screwing with my hormones which are now wreaking some havoc of there own and amplifying everything else.
For moms who self weaned off of BF, did you fond it effected your hormones?

Re: Weaning and Hormones..
Absolutely! It was like PMS for me, but worse. The worst for me was dropping from 2 feedings a day to one. Going 24 hours between feedings was toughest on my body and my hormones. We did one feeding a day for a few weeks, and when I gave it up entirely, it was pretty easy on me. The hard part was over.
Good luck! If you're ready, you're ready, and you'll get through it just fine.

Me neither!! I can't remember it happening with my first. Though, I was also 2 months pregnant by the time he weaned, so I may have chalked up any extra emotion to being pregnant! I'll have to look out for that this time around.
