Have you thought about setting up a video camera to see if something happens around 5-6AM?
No I haven't...but now I'm going to!
Hello Paranormal!
My little sister had an imaginary friend named Reenee who annoyed the crap out of her! When she was around 2-5 she would tell her to go away. It happened during the day and I think at night she would mention her bothering her. It was freaky!
That being said.... I'm on the fence. I have this hardcore rational scientific mind side that says kids imagine things, still have their realities blurred, and see and believe things that aren't really there. But I also have a leap if faith believing side that remembers seeing things in my room, gets signs from my grandma all the time that she is watching out for me, and then I think how possible this all can be.
I honestly would treat it casually with your DS. Let him sleep wherever, and let him talk about the ghost on his own without asking too many questions. I have discovered that Cailen always tells me more about everything when I question him less, and listen to him more!
Keep us posted!

Re: DS and a ghost-need help
This has happened to me as a child and I clearly remember it nightly a girl would come into my room. I dont remember how old I was though. She would just sit next to my bed. My mother had seen her go into the bathroom thinking it was me. I remember telling my parents about her and my father who was into things of the sort had told me that the next time she came to visit me. Tell her that I did not want her coming around and that she should leave. It did work for me. After that I was able to sleep in my room. Maybe that would work.

DS and a ghost-need help
As a young kid, like 4 or so, i remember seeing a man a few times. He would stand against the doorway and was dressed in what looked like white pajamas and he had curly dark hair. He didnt talk or anything, just would stand there for a bit.
I clearly recall seeing him one night I was in my parent's bed. It wasn't my father - because he was asleep.
Still no clue as to who he was - he doesn't fit any description of anyone who had passed.
Maybe it was a figment of my imagination - who knows.
My brother had an imaginary friend named Gubba or something , who was a black train conductor. We couldn't see him but my brother insisted he was there. He has no recollection of him now.
Maybe we were just weird kids

Re: DS and a ghost-need help
My DS since a young age would laugh at things when no one was around, or talk in his room to no one being there..
I definately believe in ghosts and that kids are more open to see things
That would freak me out just because he says he is scared of him and that is is disturbing his daily life. I would deifnately set up a camera and see if u catch anything.
Maybe cleanse ur house

DS and a ghost-need help
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with people who suggest talking to your ds as if ghosts are real. To me, that can encourage fear and is very confusing. If you are personally a believer, by all means you can investigate, but if it were me I would do that in a way that does not promote the idea to your child.

Re: DS and a ghost-need help
When I moved into my new place my DS kept talking about a ghost in his room. I had never spoken to him about ghosts before so i thought it was a little strange, it was also in the spring so Halloween was no where near our minds.
As time passed he still spoke about the ghost, and as he became more verbal he would talk about the dog being black, and the dog would come and play with him at night.
I thought it was a little strange because I had a dog that passed away when my DS was 7 weeks. That dog was my life. I loved her like she was a child, but I still figured it was his imagination.
Well, all the sudden he started to call the ghost dog by name, Kasey, which was my dead dogs name! I never once talked to him about my dog Kasey that died, and when we talk about Kasey we just refer to her by name, and it isn't often and we do not call her Kasey the black dog.
I also lived in a haunted building in college, and it was the stuff horror movies are made of.
So I totally believe in this type of stuff, and feel children can often see things we cannot. I would not push him to sleep in his room, but I would reassure him often that the room is safe, and I would 100% set up the camera.
