2.5 year old becoming VERY clingy to mom
 anyone else experiencing this? Not sure if it is the age or the fact that we are expecting a baby in 2 months but my son wants NOTHING to do with my husband.
He constantly wants to be held or for me to hold his hand at the very least. When my husband goes to pick him up from daycare, he asks for me. He will not let me husband partake in his bedtime routine (brushing teeth, into bed, reading books etc)...
He cries for me, will only eat if I prepare his food He is going through a stage where he is very fearful of things on TV and especially the dark.
Any ideas? How can we work Dad back in? He is excited about his baby sister coming, looking forward to "holding her, reading to her, playing legos with her" so I know there isnt resentment yet. He asks about her every day.

I am going through the same thing with my 2.5 yr old DD. She only wants me. I am hoping it's just a phase. And I am sure it is. I also have a 9 month old so unfortunately I can't always do things for her. I try to explain to her that I am with her sister and daddy will be there to help her. Sometimes she is ok with with..sometimes she's not. It's tough that's for sure.

OMG!!! Exactly this!!! My 2.5 year old DD!! Even started crying everyday at daycare for me:(. I am due next week and was thinking it was baby related. Sorry this is happening! I know exactly how you feel!

same in our house at 2 years old. I actually force DH on Braydon- Daddy does bath time and a lot of the fun stuff like playtime and coloring, if he asks me for his milk- DH will get it and sit with him while he drinks it
not making any headway yet but I am hopeful!

My 2 year old just recently got very clingy to me. He is ok as long as he sees me but once i'm out of sight he screams "mommy!" at the top of his lungs. It's definitely a phase. I have a 7 month old as well.
