When do babies start sleeping longer stretches?

Not sttn, but just 5 plus hrs a night. Is it when they eat a certain amt at a feeding? My girls are only 1 month old and eat 3oz every 3 hrs. Sometimes 4. Just wondering when I can expect them to go longer. Especially at night. I'm hoping this happens before I go back to work in Jan when they are 10 weeks. Oy!!

DS started doing 6-7 hours consistently at around 6 weeks old. He goes 9:30-3:30 or 4:30 after a 3oz bottle of breastmilk. Then his next stretch is about 3 hrs. He seemed to have the day / night thing figured out pretty early on.

It really depends on the baby.
My DD was up every 3-4 hours until around 6 months old.
She was on solids at that point- it meant nothing.
I don't think she was waking up from hunger- she was just waking up.

dd at around 3 weeks started doing a 6 hour interval... before that we were setting the alarm to feed her around 3 1/2 -4 hrs overnight...

ds 1 took alot longer - and was sometimes 2 1/2 hr intervals.

ugh its just to hard to know!

Emerson didnt STTN until she was over a year old. She started giving me longer stretches at night when she was prob closer to 4m. By longer stretches I mean more than 4hrs at a pop. she also had reflux and was on different meds and formulas to fix it, so it took a while.

Peyton was STTN by 3wks once we had her reflux under control also

DD is 5 weeks. She usually eats every 3 hours but sometimes give us 4 hours at night. Last night we got 5.5! It felt amazing! We started trying to implement a bedtime routine. She usually takes a bottle at 8 and 11. At 9 we gave her a warm bath. I used the bedtime bath with lavender and the lotion too. Seemed to help, I hope it helps tonight as well.

Mine started skipping the between 2 and 4 am feeding between 3 and 4 months adjusted age. For us it was a long 6 months!!

I think my lo was sleeping Long stretches by 2 months. It is not uncommon for him to have nights where he wakes up pretty frequently to eat and he is now 3 months.

At about 10 weeks DD slept 8 hours straight.

DS#1- at 8 weeks, consistently went 5-6 hours at night without eating. By 10 weeks, it was 7-8 hours!

DS#2- 9 weeks- got 5-6 hours. I think by 12 weeks he went 8 hours at night.

My first son used to wake to eat around 10-11 PM, then sleep until 6 in the morning.

The second one went to sleep earlier, and woke at 3-4 for that feeding, then went back to sleep. With him, I just made sure I went to bed earlier!

DS is 3 months and still waking up every few hours A good night for me is when he goes down at 8-9 and wakes up around 2, then he wakes up again around 5-6.

DD #1 was doing an 8 hour stretch by 10 weeks. She had been waking every night (I thought to feed) and one night I was so exhausted I gave her the paci hoping to get an extra hour in - she didn't wake up until the next morning! After that if she woke up, I just gave her the paci.

DD#2 was doing 8 hours by 8 weeks.

DD#3 is 4 weeks now and started doing up to a 5 hour stretch at about 2.5 weeks, although it isn't consistent.

I just hope that she only does one middle of the night feeding every night - when she eats every 3 hours, it kills me!
