CIO moms come in please....
Any of you have babies that cio every night to go to sleep and still wake up most nights and cio too? We sleep trained 14 month old ds about 5 months ago but he still very rarely goes to sleep without crying. Tonight took 20 minutes of crying. Has been a little worse than normal lately. Is this "normal"?
TIA... hanging a bad mommy night and don't know what else to do.
P.S. He won't go to sleep by holding him and transferring. Seems like crying is the only way i can get him to sleep and that ends up being a lot of tears from both of us....

Going through the same exact thing as we speak, doesn't seem to be working, this happens every night, good luck to you

Re: CIO moms come in please....
What time is bedtime? Do you think he's overtired - putting him to bed a little earlier could help. Or not tired yet - try keeping him up another 30 mins?
How are his naps? Does he fight those too?
If he is still taking 2 naps, maybe he is ready to switch to 1 nap?
Could it be teething? Maybe his mouth is throbbing when he lays down? Tylenol or Motrin could help. And maybe out him to bed with a cold teether?
Hang in there!
My boys sometimes have to CIO a bit before bed but it's mostly whining and getting comfortable noises, not full blown CIO like the first time (sometimes it is though!)

Re: CIO moms come in please....
dd cried herself to sleep every night for the longest time. just recently at 2 1/2 she goes down with no problem. she usually never cried more than 20 mins. depending on the cry i would go in and out until she fell asleep. if it was just a whine cry than i left her
