What age did you start taking you DC trick or treating?
My twins are 13 months and my husband said they are way too young to go trick or treating. I know they won't eat the candy and time has changed since we were little, but what age did you start taking your kids trick or treating.

2.5yo.
When DS#1 was 18m old, he had his first ear infection so we didn't take him.
I don't know if it counts but we took 6m old DS out last year with his older brother. He fell asleep in the stroller.

26 months-when she knew how to knock on a door.
I didn't feel comfortable TOTing when DD was younger, she obviously didn't get it and I just felt silly. My younger two have gone/will go younger because they go along for the ride since we take our oldest.

My DD was 4 weeks old for her first Halloween, we dressed her up, and pushed her in the stroller around Stony Brook Village and did the trick or treat at the stores. The following year at age 1, although not walking, we pushed her in the stroller all around the neighborhood and trick or treated at all the houses. And of course, she has been trick or treating every year since. She's now 4. 
I would totally take your kids trick or treating, why not?

I don't think we took DS out his first Halloween- he was only 1 1/2 months. But we did dress him in a pumpkin sleeper and had him out on our porch. We took him to a few neighbors the next year just to show them his costume (though they did give him some treats) and last year when he was 2 we took him to a few more. He did say trick-or-treat (more or less.) I think this year at 3 he will really enjoy it- he's been practicing.

With my oldest she was 11 months and we went our trick or treating with her and 2 other kids age 12 months and 3.
My other DD's were out for their first trick or treating at 4 months and 3 months in the stroller. And then actually trick or treating the next year at 16 months and 15 months, going up to the door and knocking on it.

DS was a week and a half shy of 1 year when he went for the first time and he had a blast. Just up the block, doesnt have to be extensive.

Technically 3 months. We went with my nephew who was 4 at the time, and I stood at the end of the driveway with the stroller and DH and my brother would take my nephew up to the doorway. People would see the baby and send back candy with my nephew for us, which was nice of them! This year DS is 15 months and we'll go with my brother and nephew again and I'll let him go up to the door with him.

DS was 6 months. We did the neighbors and my mom's neighbors just to show him off. Then he did every year since then. We usually bring a wagon in case he gets tired.
I really hope it doesn't get cancelled this year!

at 6 months, my mom would take DS to her friends in the neighborhood...so not many houses.
It's still a tradition for us to trick or treat in their neighborhood (it's a very active ToTing neighborhood - more so than ours)

about 16 months....we just went to a few houses...he walked and held his own pumpkin basket and got so excited when they put candy in it. so cute. i think we stopped after a few houses because he didn't want to hold the heavier pumpkin anymore

I took my baby last year.. she was about 3-4 months old.
This year she's now 15-16 months old and will go again.
I'll do it every year. Of couse she's not eating the candy (not this year either... esp with all the GMO stuff in them) but it's more for the fun and experience of it all.
