Covering the bases

So, I've been bding with hubby for quite some time this cycle. I think we started getting burnt out, b/c by mid cycle, it was work, if you know what I mean. I've been waiting for my smiley and finally got it on Tuesday. We did the deed on the Sunday before, took Monday off, did it on Tuesday when I got the smiley, and early this morning. Problem is, my smiley didn't last long. I tested Monday night, negative, I tested Tuesday morning, negative. I retested that afternoon b/c I was feeling crampy. Lo and behold, got a positive at around noon. BD'd with hubby in the evening. When I went to retest the next morning, just b/c I was curious, it was negative. It seems like such a small window of time. I wouldn't feel this way if we BD'd the day before my surge. What do any of you ladies think? I am super crampy all day today, but I don't have much CM, so I'm confused.

do not go by the number of smiley's

it si why they tell u to stop testing when u get one

if u got one on tuesday u prob o'd today and that is why u r crampy

i would as much as u can the next 2 days

In the past, out of curiosity, I did the same thing as you - after getting a positive, I took another test later on in the day or the next morning and it was never positive again. I stopped doing this cause my mind started playing tricks on me - did i have a surge, did i miss my window, etc. As long as you see a positive result - go for it!

I never get a pos smiley with afternoon test. But I did test every morning and got smileys 3days in a row. So I disagree with test once. If I just bd for 2 nights after my positive I would have missed my most fertile time
