need help with a bottle nipple
Hi everyone
i have somewhat of an issue. My girls were in the NICU for a short pd of time. while I was pumping BM, the nicu was using the medela storage bottles along with the similac disposable nipples. Im out of those nipples now and DD doesn't like the "born free". Does anyone know of a smilar nipple to the similac? She's still preemie and her mouth is small... I think she needs a slow flow type. I can order the smiliac disposable ones but they are $1 a piece and I literally throw them out after one use.
TIA!

My son was in the NICU for 7 weeks. They used the disposable nipples while he was there. When we came home, he refused to take any nipple other than Dr. Brown's. We tried them all. Dr. Brown's also has a preemie flow nipple, if you need it.

The medela ones are similar. My girls are premies also. We washed the hospital nipples for ages. It took them a while to be able to use our regular playtex bottles.
I may still have a few unopened hospital nipples if you want them.

Thanks, i have Dr Browns here but havent tried them yet. The problem is she gets milks allll over her face without the smiliac nipple for some reason. I think its too fast for her.

This is exactly why we used the preemie nipples from Dr. Browns for a while once he came home. It slowed the flow down. Then we switched to the regular nipples after a while.

DS was a preemie and when we came home from the hospital I used playtex ventaire bottles and slow flow nipples for a couple of weeks and he had no problem switching. Then we changed to Dr browns with level one nipples and he had no issues changing to those either.
