Do you think I should start having dd sleep in the crib instead of the RNP?

DD is 10 weeks old. She has been sleeping in the RNP the whole time. She has a minor flat head. At her 2 month appt the ped. said to do more tummy time and we will check her head at the 3 month appt. We have been doing more tummy time lately and she happens to love sitting up ( which is great regarding the flad head), whether it be on my lap or propped up on the couch. I can't wait until she is a little bigger and I can put her in the jumperoo and exersaucer.

Do you have any suggestions to help the flat head? Should I stop having her sleep in the RNP?

Yes. Put her in crib. When she sleeps alternate which side she sleeps on (one night put her head to the door, the next night her feet to the door), alternate which hand you feed her the bottle with. It will force her to look in a different position.

These were all suggestions my ped gave me for my son and they worked. Also get the Noggin Nest. It's made by Boppy specifically to help with flat head. I used it in the rock n play, swing, etc.

I would def. stop the RNP...DS has minor to moderate plagiocephaly and I think it is from the RNP...it was my fault I selfishly kept him in it for 3-4 months because he slept so good in it..not realizing it completely restricted him..it took a bit to transition..but he started STTN in his crib after a couple of weeks..and we are now working very hard to rotate him...his head has improved..but I feel guilty that it happened.
