DD keeps getting fungal rashes
I notice the rash. Start using lotrimin right away. Goes away within a few days. Comes back in about a month or so later. She has had about 5-6 of them now. Any idea why she keeps getting them? Or any suggesstions on how to get rid of them for good?

Dry good after a bath. Wash your hands good before changing and after of course. And you need to use the Lotrimin for a while even after the skin looks normal, according to my ped. This is what I did. Also use cornstarch powder to keep the area dry, so that fungus cannot grow. Bathe them often and keep them dry as possible.
Took a while for DDs to fully go away. I never thought it would but it did.

Go to a dermotolgist. That is how we got rid of ours...we needed a good prescription cream

Dd would get them when she was in it a wet diaper for to long like up against her skin in the carseat. I would use lotta in and cortisone cream.
Now when we travel I put powder on her with cornstarch. It helps keeps the wetness off her skin.
Is she changed enough? And def dry after wiping and bath.

My DD gets them often too. My ped said to use the Lotrimin for 14 days. It seems like every rash she gets turns fungal.

I agree with the PPs but also wanted to add that probiotics can help prevent this issue.
