So, halloween candy from China. Is this a concern for you?
Went to the dollar store to get some more decorations and saw some really cute candy - witches and pumpkins as lollipops, etc. I never heard of the brand before, but when I turned it over, I saw it was made in China.
I know EVERYTHING is made from China these days, but I just couldn't purchase the candy.
Does anyone know any information on this? I know a lot of chocolate is made in the US, but do you feel safe buying the candy made in China?

I won't buy candy made in China and would likely not allow my child to eat it if she got it. Maybe one or two but nothing more than that considering it's from china.

I'm not sure how I'd handle it...... The whole melamine in the candy thing, I don't know if i'd trust it to all be resolved.ontop of the lead paint in toys

No issue at all with the candy being from China. I'm sure the 1+ billion people in China eat candy too.
I have more of an issue with my kids having lollipops. They rarely get candy.

Was just wondering how you felt about it.
Some of the bags of candy just had a sketchy vibe.

I am pretty laid back about toys from China, but the candy worries me. I bought Nickelodeon candy and when I realized it was from China I got rid of it. If they got it trick or treating I'd let my kids eat one or two pieces but that's it.

Amen! I'm so sick of all the China drama. I feel its unfair. I dont look at my food and think what country made it. I think .. should I be eating this crap? LOL
I want to get Jim a shirt that says "Beware: Made In China" but no one would get the joke.

I am a big fan of Dollar Stores but that's the reason I don't buy candy there! Who knows what's really in it!!! I shudder to think!
I get my Halloween stash from pharmacies. There are usually good deals to be had right before Halloween!
