Help! I may have to use bumpers
Just got crib ready for dd as she is outgrowing rnp. Tried her in the crib, not only does she not seem to like it but she keeps putting her arms and legs throw the rails and then she gets stuck!!!! How is that safe? Maybe the bumpers r a safer option? DD is a wild one. Also she keeps rolling onto belly which is not good. HELP!!!!!

Re: Help! I may have to use bumpers
We used breathable bumpers once DS started moving around the crib. Around 10 months we switched over to Wonder Bumpers to keep him from bumping his head, etc. Expensive but worth every penny. LOVE them!

Re: Help! I may have to use bumpers
I think DD is the same age as yours and was getting her arms stuck too. We went to the breathable bumpers and that solved the problem. She also rolls onto her stomach a lot but as long as she can hold up her head on her own then she will be fine. DD still doesn't like when she rolls on her tummy so most times I have to go flip her over but she is starting to get more comfortable with it.

Re: Help! I may have to use bumpers
i just put bumpers in at 7.5 months-- he rocks on all fours and bangs his head trying to get himself to sleep. He had bruises all over his head. You do what you have to do.

Re: Help! I may have to use bumpers
I just googled wonder bumpers and they show a kids feet sticking out from the crib. Are they close enought that you wouldn't be able to do that.?

Re: Help! I may have to use bumpers
I have always used bumpers with my DD's. As long as they can roll back and forth, they should be ok. I am more concerned about head injuries from hitting heads on crib rails. (happened to my nephew who suffered severe brain hemorrhaging and now has a shunt)

Help! I may have to use bumpers
I'd recommend breathable bumpers. It's what we have always used. Also, just so you know, if she is rolling onto her belly on her own, it is perfectly safe. Nothing to worry about!

Agreed.
My DD was a gymnast in her crib (and still is in her toddler bed) and we were bumper-free. Only got her leg caught once.
