3 weeks after c-section would you..
go bowling? Tonight we are trying to take my older DD to do something special. My DH said why dont we take her bowling since its a quick game (i am exclusively nursing and we are leaving the baby home with my mom) Should I not bowl at this point?

Re: 3 weeks after c-section would you..
I would totally go but I had a good recovery after my second c section and could have handled bowling! I use a really really light ball though!

Hell no !
because that was my reaction also. I litteraly touched my scar when I reas this!
I say go and you could try, but at 3 wks I don't know if I could handle the motion of bowling not just the weight of a ball.

i wouldnt have. but it depends on how you are feeling. although, you might feel fine and then end up hurting yourself and feel worse after bowling.

Noooooooo way. I was in no condition to bowl three weeks after my Csection. I would be afraid of ripping my stitches.

I would not go bowling. I remember 4 weeks after my csection suddenly having terrible pain at the incision site. I wouldn't risk it even if you are feeling good.

I would go to get out of the house but I definitely would not have been up to bowling myself.

noooooooo way. Too soon after to be lifting something heavy and twisting. Even if you feel good, you are still healing.

I just felt ok to walk decent distances at 3 weeks pp. There is no way I could have handled bowling.

EEEK. The thought of it makes me cringe. lol - even though you are feeling good I still don't think it's a good idea. Too much going on in the abdomen area.

What if you went and used one of the assistance bowlers. They're a metal slide for bowling balls. DD used it a few times when she was younger. Then you don't have worry!!!

Even if you mentally/physically feel ok, that doesn't mean your body is done healing. 3 weeks is so early. I wouldn't rush into physical activity, esp that isn't necessary. Your DD won't care that you're not bowling, just that you're there and she's getting one on one time!

After my first, I wouldn't have, but after my third, I was running (well jogging) at 2 weeks PP.

I wouldn't bowl. My incision opened up from over doing it and now I have an indenttion at that spot.
