First broadway show

What would be a good first show for DS? He will be 6 next month. I'm tossing around Lion King, Spider Man and Mary Poppins. Anyone have any opinions? Better suggestions?

We saw Mary Poppins last month. It was a huge hit. There were loys of little boys who looked like they loved the show!

DO NOT take him to see Lion King. Its WAY to scarey.

Mary Poppins is great.

There is a new show called "Matilda" that is supposed to be amazing.

Newsies was fantastic.

Re: First broadway show

I thought the Lion King was BORING ......so that is the last thing I'd take a 6 year old to.

Newsies is supposed to be amazing. My friend has taken her daughter 3x already

I SO want to take my 3.5 year old to see Spiderman b/c I think he'd LOVE it. And I'm pretty sure he'd sit through it - but I don't want to spend $300 for him to prove me wrong

Took our 4 year old to see Beauty and the Beast and he looooved it. But he was obsessed with the DVD then too.

Spider-man has some good moments but to be honest, the show is seriously boring as hell except for when he's flying around.

I think Mary Poppins or Newsies would be good.

I've heard Lion King is a bit scary. I agree about Spiderman being boring except for the flying part.
I'd go with Newsies or Mary Poppins. I saw Newsies and it was awesome.
