C-Section Question

Is it normal to still have a lot of pain 5 weeks PP? I am still sore to the touch from my belly button down a little past the incision. and in general it just hurts. It is also still hard to get in and out of bed and stuff like that.

Re: C-Section Question

Mine hurt for a while. As my husband kept telling me that it was major abdominal surgery and will take time to heal. Dont do too much that will aggravate it. I still have some pain here and there and I am 3 mo pp

C-Section Question

I'm 5 1/2 weeks Post c-section and have the same sensitivity as you. It takes time to heal. I felt things here and there until almost a year after my first c-section.

C-Section Question

It's major surgery, so yes. I don't expect to feel normal for months. I had minor shoulder surgery and that took months to feel normal.

Re: C-Section Question

I think you should call your doctor just to be sure. I had my 2 sections and that sounds like a lot of pain you are having that long after surgery. I am 4 weeks PP and am only very very very slightly tender to the touch by the incision.

C-Section Question

It was normal for me, but I had a rough delivery, 20+ hours of labor then emergency c-section, then my incision opened and got infected so it took me close to 8 week pp to feel human again

i would say call too. I was running 5 weeks after my second and 2 weeks after my 3rd CS

But the first is mentally harder too. You just don't know what to expect. I had mastitis 4 weeks PP with my first cs, so everything was just hard.

Re: C-Section Question

I had pain and needed assistance sitting up for a good 2 months. I still get twinges of pain now and then 13mo later. I had an emergency-c though.
