Gift for friend at hospital who just gave birth?
A close friend just had a baby girl. I don't really want to bring her flowers, because I'm sure she got so many already. I'm not bringing a gift for baby, because I'll bring one when I go to the house. Any suggestions on a gift? Oh, and her DH has a diner so bringing food is out of the question....

I know you said no food, but what about a fruit basket or cookie platter in cute shapes? Any quick and easy food was so appreciated in the beginning.
As for other ideas, a nice nightgown/pj/robe set is always great to have. If she's planning to nurse pea in the pod has some nice stuff.

Honestly I did not need anythin gin the hospital. IT was just more for me to bring home and I had all snacks and food I wanted and DH was there during the day with me so he could run down stairs if necessary.
I don't have any suggestions except for maybe a GC for a massage or mani/pedi and offer to babysit.

Cooked food for them to reheat when they get home. Didn't realize how much that was a godsend.

Agreed.
Maybe a simple treat like before you come offer to bring Ralph's or a fav Starbucks drink or something. But nothing to be dragged home.

Gift for friend at hospital who just gave birth?
If she's planning to breastfeed, maybe a GC to motherhood for some nursing attire or even pick out a comfy set of nursing pj's to give. I spent too much on that stuff!

i had GD while pregnant. My gf brought me a huge gift bag filled with all the treats i couldnt eat while pregnant...oreos (my fave), candy, all sorts of snacks. prob one of my fave gifts lol
but i agree with a pp...if she likes certain treats like starbucks or ice cream...has a fave food.
