So we are thinking of doing something this weekend for labor day weekend. Any ideas
I know there are
1) buffallo to see
2)Long island aquarium-
3) museum in the hamptons -
4) free farm
Is the museum is the hamptons the same as LICM?
What other places are fun for 2 year old. We are thinking of going out there unless there are other events going on somewhere else. ANy idea??
Is the long island Aquarium worth the money for a 2 year old girl. I heard it wasn't

Re: east end
Can only speak about the aquarium. We got a season pass for DH and I. DS was 2 and was free. We have gone half a dozen times already. He's now 3 but he loves it.
POW WOW is here in Southampton this weekend.
Greenport on the North Fork is amazing. They have the cutest carousel there.

Re: east end
I thought kids have to pay. Someone told me it was 20 for each person and very small. How much did you pay? have you been to the POW WOW? Greenport from what I remember there are a lot of restaurants and stores. I heard about the carousel, is it similiar to nunleys by LICM? Anything else to do in Greenport?

Re: east end
DH and I personally found the Aquarium to be completely disappoointing and NOT at all worth the money - it's expensive - We've been to MUCH better aquariums. - We got through it in about an hour w/ Sean when he was 2. - and he LOVES Aquariums
I am a HUGE fan of Greenport, but it's something I enjoy w/o the kids - There is the carousel, but other than that, it's not particularly kid - friendly. it's not BAD for kids.......but not really too much happening for them.
I brought both boys (1 and 3) to Harbes farm last weekend and they had a blast - it's on the N Fork just past Martha Clara winery - HUGE playgrounds, pig races, animal farm etc etc - they had a ball

I think the Aquarium is great. We go often. Yes it's small, but there is a lot of outdoor stuff as well. Kids under 3 are free. The sea lion show is fun.
Greenport is boring for kids. The carousel is the only thing there.
The Children's Museum in Bridgehampton is fun. Much cleaner and more little kid friendly than the LICM IMO. There is Goat on a Boat puppet theater near there too, although we have never been.

I like the aquarium. Yes, it's smaller than others, but it's cute. Under 2 are in fact free, we have a membership to the aquarium.
Greenport is cute, but the only thing for kids is the carousel.
Harbes is GREAT! There are tons of other farm stands on the same road that have a lot of activities for the kids.
The beach??
I live out on the North Fork...and I'm always looking for something to do, there isn't much out here

Re: east end
Love the aquarium. As PP said, Pow wow is here this weekend, which is huge. Hampton Classic is going on in Bridgehampton, and Saturday is Kids Day. The Childrens Museum of the East End is great, don't have too much experience as it is too old for my DS (10 months) and across the street is the South Fork Natural History Museum (cool for elementary age.) Each village has a nice park to play and picnic (particularly Agawam in Southampton.) Enjoy!

I personally love Greenport with my little one. He likes looking at all the boats. There's a big open green space that my DS loves to run around and basically go crazy. There's a cute toy store that DS can use his money to buy something. It's a walking town and tons of places to walk.
The aquarium I think is $32 per person over 3 which includes the butterfly exhibit. We have a season pass because honestly it is costly to go but with the annual pass we paid for ourselves in just to visits. It is small but I think its great. My DS get's bored quickly so its just the right size for him to go through quickly. The sea lion show is great.
Never been to Pow Wow but have heard great things about it.
