Help... baby will not sleep unswaddled
DD is 3 months old and is already rolling like crazy so we needed to stop swaddling her at night. I tried using the swaddle pod with her arms out and it made no difference... she needs her arms tucked in. I just put her in a halo sleep blanket last night and she was up every hour. She rolls around so much in her crib and flips on her belly which she hates. I dont know what to do. Anyone else's children like this and did they get used to it. I am exhausted after the last few nights and dont know if I can take many more nights like this. Do you think she will adjust soon? Any suggestions on how to make things easier?

Re: Help... baby will not sleep unswaddled
You need to 'wean' her off the swaddle... If she naps in the swaddle, start to leave her arms lose. After a few naps, she should get used to it... We had to slowly do the same thing. DD loved to be swaddled but once she started to move around more, we let her arms free.. it was a rough few nights, but eventually she got used to it... Now we are finally in a sleep sack and she loves it.

She has never napped in her swaddle, it was always her bedtime routine. Good to hear that your DD took to the sleep sack after a few nights.

Re: Help... baby will not sleep unswaddled
My baby was also addicted to being swaddled. I "weaned" him from it by keeping one arm swaddled and one arm out. He was fine sleeping with one arm out. After a few nights we kept him in the swaddle but both arms were free. He woke himself up a few times but after a few nights of this he was able to sleep unswaddled.

Help... baby will not sleep unswaddled
I have the same problem!! My DD's nighttime routine is being swaddled too and he is going to be 4 months. He hasn't learned to go from back to belly yet so I guess i'll keep it on for now. We let him sleep on his belly for nap times though so he isn't swaddled all the time. I don't know what I'm going to do when he can't be swaddled anymore at night because he just LOVES it!!!
