they are total rip offs. i had an outfit NWT retail for $80 they wanted to give me $1.00
i got $60 for it on ebay
with that said, they will give you anywhere from $.25 - $.75 per item, tee shirts are usually $.10
i went once and i walked back out with all my clothes

Ive been there twice lately, and basically, while I understand I could sell things elsewhere, its convenient and found money. You just have to have the mentality of the convenience. Its a one shot deal.
My first huge bag was filled with 0-12 clothes all with tags. And a huge double diaper bag, used once.
I walked out with $30. I put it towards a fun day this summer.

You get garage sale prices. Obviously they are a "for profit" business, so I'm always confused how people think they will get anything reasonable for their stuff

I agree that its not a money making situation. However, what I dont get is the prices to by the used items. I went in last week looking for something and saw some pretty nice strollers in the front. They were ticketed at 200 and 250. Why would someone pay that price for a used stroller? i dont get it? With that said, they are pretty nice people so I dont have any issues with them. I just dont get the buyers of the used items.

Thanks for the replies. I bought DD a $90 walker and she used it a few times. I've posted on the Buy sell swap thread and no bites

Re: anyone here sold stuff to once upon a child?
total rip off. I brought them a brand new swing, one that just came out in the store (I already had 2 swings and my MIL bought me a third!) I got nothing for it. I think like $30 but had already lugged it there. I guess they need to make money and I do like to BUY there b/c its cheap. Its convenient though. Craigslist, strangers come to your house and you wouldnt sell everything at once. So there + and -

I have never sold anything to them but I just bought ds an entire fall wardrobe all Ralph Lauren, Gap, and Crewcuts for super cheap. Their prices on swings and strollers and stuff are really expensive, I would rather buy new.

There is a new place in valley stream on rockaway ave called Kids Connection I think. I was just there and bought a double stroller for 65. I had to power wash it but otherwise it was fine. I'm a nanny so it was a great price. They take stuff in and maybe they will offer more money.
