starting dance at 2.5 or 3.5?
My DD is 2.5 and I am not sure when to start her in dance classes. She will be 3 in February so I either have to start her now (since it's Sept to June) or wait till next Sept when she will be 3.5. What age did you guys start your DD's? Is 3.5 to late if I decide to wait? Thanks!

Re: starting dance at 2.5 or 3.5?
I just enrolled my DD (also 2.5, Will be 3 in Feb)
She's SO excited about it. For now anyway lol
I started dancing myself at 2.5 and didn't stop for 15yrs! And no , if you waited, 3.5 is not too late at all!

Re: starting dance at 2.5 or 3.5?
Dd was just shy of 3 when she started.
It is, hands down, the cutest thing on the planet. I think at 3 they are able to follow directions better, they get more from the class, kwim?

Mine did it over the summer they are going to be 3 in October and were the oldest in the class. It was a 2 year old program. I wish I had started them last year. In the fall they will be in the 3 yo program ballet/tap.

Re: starting dance at 2.5 or 3.5?
My DD just took her first dance class this summer at almost 3.5 and she did beautifully. I'm not sure she would've done much of anything at 2.5.

Re: starting dance at 2.5 or 3.5?
Carlie JUST turned 2 when she started Dance and she LOVED it... I thought it was great for her to use as a separation class, and also to learn how to sit and stand still and listen in a group. Learning patience's and taking turns... it really was a great class for her and she loved it!
We did a class called Tutu's and Tiaras, at Dance Works in Port Washington.
I am thinking of switching her now b/c I don't work in Port... so if anyone has any recommendations of Dance schools in the Garden City/Mineola area that would be great!
Good Luck! Your daughter will do amazing! and I am sure she will LOVE IT!

Re: starting dance at 2.5 or 3.5?
My twins will be starting this year, they will be 4 in Dec. I think they would have done ok last year too, but will definitely get more out of it now than they would have then. Now they are actually asking to go.

DD will start dance next summer and she will be 3.5...I thought of starting her this summer but people said that at closer to 4 years old they get more out of it.
