Dutch or Hershey

Going for one night Sunday to Monday this weekend we are staying in Lancaster and had it booked to go to Dutch Wonderland but now were bringing other kids with us ages 10 and 12 and I'm afraid it wont be interesting enough for them.

Kids are 2, 6, 8, 10, 12
What do you think will be better for them and more enjoyable? Also keeping our 2 year old in mind?

How far is the drive from Lancaster to Hershey is it worth it to drive for the preview, back to the hotel, then back again the next morning?

Re: Dutch or Hershey

Even with the 2 year old, I would skip DW and go to Hershey.

B/c you have older kids Hershey for sure! Your younger children can still have a good time there b.c there actually are a lot of rides for little ones and of course tons of rides for the older kids.
DW is more for the 8 and under crowd i would say.
plus Hershey has chocolate world and everyone 0-99 loves that! (well i think so! lol)

ETA drive is not far at all...maybe 1/2 hour?

Do you think one day is enough for the kids?

Re: Dutch or Hershey

DW too boring for older kids...Def Hershey. One day is definitely short but if it's all you have, go for it anyway. It's about 1/2 hr away and yes, absolutely worth it to go for the preview and the next day. Dont skip the preview, you can get a LOT done in those few hrs.

Re: Dutch or Hershey

with that age range I would say Hershey. DW is good for younger kids, the older ones will be bored quick!
