what car seat is your 3yo in?
She has been in a Recaro Como since she was 6m old.
ETA: we also have a Cosco (truck) and a Saftey First (aunt)

34 months and 90th+ percentile in height and weight
Britax Advocate 70 CS
Love it and looks super-roomy. DS has never complained.
ETA: We have a Britax Roundabout in grandpa's car. Like the Advocate better though.
