Sudden leaky bottles?

For the past week or 2 my dr browns bottles have been leaking and it's driving me crazy! It drips down from the bottom of the collar as DD is drinking. Anyone experience this or know why this may be happening all of a sudden???

I find that if you fill the dr. brown's bottle even a SMIDGE past the "warning do not fill past this line" line - they will absolutely leak. And I always account for the micromeasurement of an increase that you get when you drop the insert in, as well.

Sudden leaky bottles?

Besides no going over the warning line like the other poster mentioned, here's a few other things it could be....

If you are using powder formula and shaking it in the bottle, the pressure builds up and sometimes causes it to leak out like that. Also, if thry are tightened too much the pressure doesn't get released correctly and they drip. If you are using anything other then room temperature water to make them, or if they are cold and you aren't heating them up enough (or at all) when the formula or bm starts to warm up it builds pressure and that's how it is releasing itself (same reason why straw cups leak out when they have cold liquids in them that warm up)

I had the same problem with Dr. Brows. I figured out my problem- I was heating them in the bottle warmer with the cat ON. I figured out if I warmed it with the cap off, and then wiped it so there was no moisture on the outside, the bottle was fine.
