rec for pediatrician - suffolk
Im just about 30wks preg so i guess i need to start thinking about peditricians... i know you can "interview" them but - what questions do u ask other than schedule and view on shots?
Im going to ask my ob who he recommends - he has 7 kids and lives right by me - and i have a rec from a friend, but id love to get some recs on here as well. I live in port jeff.
Do u love your ped? Why? Tell me who! And if theres someone u had a bad experience with, id love to hear about that too.

Do a search on here... That's what I did when I was preg. And I personally didn't see the need to interview. I went with a local office that a lot of girls on here recommended. Lipeds.net I go to the Holbrook office and so far the 4 or 5 times I've been there, I either see Klek or Lafemina.

Just a guess your ob is dr San roman. They recommend a large group which I'm not a fan of. I have a ped who I love!!!!! Dr. Amy Goldberg at lake grove ped it's next to pc Richards on rt 347. The number is 585-4440 She is the only ped in the pratice so she knows your child. She is fantastic with my girls. She gives all her own vaccines. If you have a question she generally gets on the phone with you right away and if not she calls you right back. She has small kids herself so she gets it and can relate to what you are talking about. When my dd has to have surgrey she called me after to check in on her. She gave me her cell phone to call her on when my dd had very bad asthma last winter. She is just extremely friendly and caring and you don't find that everywhere.

I met with Dr. Kleinberg. He was great. I scheduled a meet and great. I didn't bring questions, he knew new parent concerns. I asked questions as they came up. They have an office in port jefferson too!

I HIGHLY recommend our DS' pediatrician, Dr. Amy Leonard, she is amazing. She is 1 of 3 pediatriians of Kids Care Pediatrics in Selden on Boyle Road off of Hawkins. Although she is 5 months pregnant; I'm not sure what kind of maternity leave she is doing.

If you live in Port Jeff, check out Dr. Aleyas or Dr. Nataloni from Nataloni Pediatrics. I spent a lot of time in the NICU at St. Charles and a lot of the nurses reccomended them and I have been very happy with the two doctors I mentioned as well as the nurses on staff there. The office is good too- never had a problem with getting an appointment and they are very willing to help deal with insurance companies. Good luck!

I absolutely agree!! Dr. Leonard is awesome!! She is young and super smart and easy going. I love her!! She is not going to be taking an extended maternity leave... The other peds are very knowledgeable as well. We never wait long, and we love all the nurses as well. The office is also located in a great spot- they service kids from all different school districts in the area- three village, comswogue, middle country, long wood, sachem, etc.

DD is only 8 months old but so far I agree with this.

Dr. Nataloni! The office is great and there is always someone there for you to see.
She's in Mt. Sinai on 347.
