When did your DC start going to Nursery School?
My DS will be 2 on December 9th... I'm trying to decide if I should put him in Nursery School in September when he's 21 months or wait until January when he will be 25 months. Do you think this is still too young? I feel like he is ready, but I don't want to jump the gun. I am a SAHM and while we do lots of different activites together where he's interacting with kids his age, I think the separation would be good for him. When did your DC start Nursery school?

When did your DC start going to Nursery School?
Em is starting in sept. 2 days a week for 2 1/2 hrs. We chose to do it because she has become very attached to me this summer and she is so social she always wants to be around kids.

Oh cool!! Most places around here want them to be 2 by December 1st. Was that the case with the school you chose? Were they flexible?

I sent my girls at age 2. My son will be starting around 11/1 because he doesn't turn 2 until 10/26 and they have to BE 2 before they can start.
He will go 2 days for 2 hours each. My oldest DD turned 2 about a week before she started and she did wonderfully!(She only did the one day, but then I wised up and #2 and #3 did/will do the 2nd day. SAHM here.  )

DD just did a summer camp nursery school at 2y1m-2y2m and now will be starting in September at 2y 3m. She'll be going for 2 days/week for 2.5 hrs.

We started DS#1 at 2.5. I thought it was a perfect time. We started him 9-12 and then eventually moved to 9-3.
We are starting DS#2 at 18 months. It is a little earlier than we wanted but I think he is going to do great. He will be going 3 hours per day.

When did your DC start going to Nursery School?
My ds is starting this Sept. - he'll be 3 two days before class starts. We put him into a 6 week drop-off summer camp this summer to prep him a bit since he's always been home with either my parents, my dh or myself & he loves it.

Mine are just starting in September, but they will probably have 2 years because they cannot enter school until 2014, unless we early enroll. I live in NC and cutoff for Kindergarten is August. their brithday is late November

Nursery schools go based on the school district cut off, so yes most will want the child to turn 2 prior to December 1st. You can ask if they are flexible, but dont be surprised if they are not.
Don't know where you're located but look at tots on track in massapequa. Their soft seperation class might be a good compromise for you. And they are a bit flexible when it comes to the child's age. Also peanuts nursery school in farmingdale has a mommy and me class 1x a week for kids.
DS will be starting a 2x a week 2 hour a day program in September. He will be turning 2 in mid october

DD#1 was always in daycare then pre-k so she's always been in some type of program. DD#2 was in daycare for the first year then home with me for the second year. She just started going at 26 months.

School: 2 yrs 3mos 4 days 9am-2pm
camp: 3yrs 10:30 - 4:30 5 days bus pick up and drop off
