Puddle jumper question
My granddaughter just used it for the first time today. She was ok in it, but it seemed like she kept being tilted back so she was floating on her back instead of being upright. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks. She's over 30 lbs. probably close to 35 by now.

Re: Puddle jumper question
Your not doing anything wrong it just takes a while for them to get used to what to do.. my son did the same thing until he got used to it.. if you tell your LO to kick there feet it usually helps to straigthen them out..

Re: Puddle jumper question
How much does she weigh? It's for 30 lbs and up. If she's not the correct weight, that would be the reason as well. DD#1 wore one last summer (she was 35 lbs) with no issues. I tried it on DD#2 this summer - she's 25 lbs and that happened to us so we haven't used it on her.

This is what I was thinking. DS used it last summer at 26 lbs. and it was tilting him back. This summer he is 30 lbs. and he is able to float along in the water all by himself. 4 lbs. made all the difference!

Yes I was going to say, DD is 2 years old and not even close to the weight to use one. Maybe that was the issue?

Re: Puddle jumper question
Hmm...my little one used one right before she turned 2 this summer, she was about 26 pounds, and it worked great on her....have used it several times this summer. I'd try it again, make sure it's far enough on her arms, strap is tight enough, etc.

Puddle jumper question
We used it a few weeks ago with our son who is JUST 30 lbs. and had the same issue. I thought maybe it was because he just met the weight minimum, but I guess not. Maybe, like the 1st poster said, it just takes a little getting used to.
