be honest ...i can take it.
this may be a lil long....sorry.
if your neice or nephew was at your parents or inlaws house over night ...ended up being taken to the hospital because he or she was throwing up blood ..the child is only 16 months so cant verbalize what is wrong...was released fever down thank god...and hasnt thrown up as far as i know since ( which was def scary ) still no absolute diagnosis ...told it may be something viral or cause of the meds the child is taking sinus or adnoid issue . the child also was a lil off not eating for the pastday or two i found out could be due to this issue or molars coming in ( this poor lil kid has been through alot) :(.
my question is ...we were sup to go visit with our dd who is 1 yr old and never been sick as of yet (knock on wood) ....i didnt think we shouild go only because they never ruled out if it was viral or not ...if it was a clear case of molars or cause of the meds i would have said ok lets go no biggie ...but i felt why take the chance....he wasnt there any more they went home but grandparents were with him all night and day before so if it was viral they could possibly have it and never know.....i know i cant keep my dd in a bubble but i dont think i am being ridiculous ...if it was a day later i would be a lil ehhh but i would still go ....this literally just happened and we got a phone call once they got home from the hospital to come over ?.
so would you go ? please be honest i can take it i still am firm in my decision but i would just like to know if maybe others may or may not agree with mrs parinoid /ridiculous :)

Honestly, I would not go. Reschedule for another time. Its not unreasonable or overeactive.
Hope the DC is feeling better.

I wouldnt go. If there was a significant purpose to the visit, maybe, but just to stop by no.

No way would I go, and to be frank, I'm a little shocked that the child's parents still want people over. If my baby was throwing up blood I would want to stay home with them not doing anything except to make sure they are okay - not entertain company

If the child had been vomiting I would not bring my girls over. You don't know if it was something they ate, or the reasons you mentioned or a bug. I wouldn't take the chance. I would wait until the child was feeling better and healthy before going over.

I'm super laid back about stuff, and even I would pass on that visit. Reschedule and don't feel bad about it.

Re: be honest ...i can take it.
Thank you for your answers....my sil was at my mil and fil house ...after the hospital sil took nephew home and inlaws wanted me to come over with dd...don't know if that changes your answers but i still feell ike he was over in laws sick possibly he had fever and threw up ( blood which is cscary enough) ...so if it was viral i know it isn't lingering airborne but at least give your self a day to sanatize your home and toys and give yourself a day of rest after being in the hospital with grandson ...plus they could have possibly caught something if it was something viral .

Re: be honest ...i can take it.
Yeah, there is no way I would go. Who would want a visit after going through all that and a trip to the ER any way? Sounds very strange to me.
