BF pumping question
I have a 5 week old and during the day I will nurse on demand but at night it seems that DD will sleep for 2 hr intrvals one night 3 the next even 4. I wake every 2 if shes up or not. Last night I pumped and as soon as I was done she woke to nurse and I had to give hr the bottle I just pumped.
My question is do you wake them or let them sleep and just pump.?
I want to have her sleep through the night and feel if I wake her I would be ruining that .

BF pumping question
I have always fed on demand with both of my boys. As long as she is adequately gaining weight, there is no reason to wake her to eat. There is also no reason to pump at that time (unless you want to build up a freezer stash and need that extra pumped milk). But if you don't pump, your body will learn not to make milk at that time because it doesn't need to. You should try to get some more sleep instead!

Agreed! Once DD established good weight gain, I stopped waking her. Is there a reason you want to pump at night?

I wake up still every 2 hours. I only can nurse one breast so I feel I need to pump more out so I can keep up the supply. I pumped and didn't wake her and she slept through the night. I was amazed. Now if I can that would be great . Thanks everyone
