what temp. is considered a fever?
First baby, she had her shots yesterday and ran a 100.4 temp so I gave her children's tylenol (ped. recommended dosage).
Today, she is running a 99.7 but not sure if this requires tylenol. I need expert moms to chime in. TIA
What temp. do you begin giving tylenol? SHe has had 99.4 while at pediatrician's office and they said it wasn't a fever.

Re: what temp. is considered a fever?
How old? Anything over 100.4 is considered a fever in newborn-3 months. But it is probably just a reaction to the shots which is common..

she is 2 months and it is definitely from shots. At 99.7 I was not sure if it required tylenol.

If she seemed uncomfortable, then I would give her some.. If not, I would wait it out.. My son's temp was always around 99-99.2....It is his normal temp. Anything over 100.4 is considered a fever in a baby that young.

my ped said to never give baby tylenol unless you speak to them- and fever is 100.4 + with that said, after shots if they are irrritable and cranky and even if they dont have a fever, DR said in that case you can give them tylenol
