Diapers causing bow legs?
Someone suggested I find another brand of diapers for my DS. They said there was too much material between his legs and causing him to bow legged. I use Pampers cruisers. I've tried Huggies last year and they leaked like crazy.
Anyone have any thoughts on what brand I could try?

Re: Diapers causing bow legs?
Was it a Dr that told you that? If not, I wouldn't put too much stock in it. Babies are born bow legged- it's from being all curled up tight in the womb for so long.
Once they start really walking their legs straighten out.
The ped told us this was normal
The diaper thing- well that sounds a bit like an old wive's tale IMO

Diapers causing bow legs?
It was actually the guy at Stride Rite. He said my 15M old son was walking bow legged from the diapers. We're going to the pediatrician tomorrow and I will definitely ask. Just thought since I have buy diapers tomorrow, I'd ask my question now. I'm sure it's an old wive's tale too.

Yeah ask the ped but I know I have seen 15 months old who still have some bowing in the legs. My ped said it could take quite some time for them to fully straighten out.

As a cloth diapering Mom I can tell you that your Pampers are 90% thinner then my hemp and microfiber inserts INSIDE my cloth diaper. You are just fine.

Yeah, I never heard that either. My ped said the bow-leggedness should straighten out sometime before 3 years old.

I think that's crazy.....where is this guy getting his information. Diapers do not cause bow leggedness.

Re: Diapers causing bow legs?
There is absolutely no possible way that a diaper can cause bowed legs. That is ridiculous. Not to mention, Pampers Cruisers are one of the thinnest diapers!! If I were you, I would definitely write to or call Stride Rite and let them know that their employee is giving out totally erroneous medical advice!
