Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
If you do how old is your dc and how hard was it to get back into shape? Also did you get any stretch marks from pregnancy?

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
I have a 2 and 3 yo. I'm thin, but not as toned as I would like to be bc I haven't really worked out. I do wear a bikini, no stretch marks. If I did have marks I would wear a tankini. I some on my hips from when I was a teen and they really bug me.
First time around was easy for me to get back into shape. Now it's harder bc I am tired, don't want to go to the gym

Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
I am 12 weeks PP, and wore a bikini at my friend's pool. If I was at the beach, I would 100% wear a cover up and not take it off. I still have pounds and inches to lose, but was comfy at her pool ETA: no stretch marks, but I have on my thighs forever

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
After baby number one, I wore a bikini. After baby number 2, I wore a bikini. After baby number three, this body is shot. I have strtch marks, a huge csection scar above my bikini line, skin that won't snap back, belly flub that won't go away no matter how much I work out, etc.
So no, I don't wear a bikini. I don't need to subject people to the horror that is my midsection

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
DD is 14 months but I think I was bikini ready by 5 months pp. I run so that completely helped me get my body back. I think I'm in better shape now than before I was pregnant, so I'm totally rocking a bikini this year. I'm proud of my hard work.
I got back into shape fairly easily, but I also think it's because I was in good shape and exercised regularly before I got pregnant and during pregnancy. I was able to get a flat, toned stomach so it's completely possible to get your body back after pregnancy!!!
I got lucky- no stretch marks!!! My mother never got them and I really believe it's genetic because I never got them either.

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
I wish. After baby #1 it was so simple. I snapped right back, no effort, stretch marks or anything. After #2 I got some marks and after #3 I got a lot :(

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
DD is 8.5 months. Yes I've worn bikinis so far this summer - but I don't have anything else and I HATE bathingsuit shopping. I don't think I look bad, but, if I were going to a public beach or pool, I'd probably keep a cover up on, or at least a tank top. My midsection is soft, so when I sit down I get the pooch. I had a c/s, very minor stretch marks around my belly button post partum, they're not visible anymore.

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
id be surprised if i ever get to a point where i wear one again
DD is 13.5m and i am just now almost back to my BFP weight. but i was already 15lbs over where i like to be due to IF treatment so i still have a lot to go. im not sure even 15lbs would get rid of my flub either. in some shirts i still look like i have an early baby belly. i go to the gym but i dont think ill ever have a flat stomach again.

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
DD is 11 months, I wear bikinis to the pool & beach. I am not toned, but I am thin. I have a little tummy, but nothing crazy. DD keeps me moving. We also dance around the living room a couple mornings a week, so I consider that my exercise lol

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
bikini mom here. I wore them immediately after DS#1 in 2008. My twins were born in 2010, so a year later in 2011 I wore a bikini. I also have a few tankinis with more coverage that I wear only because they are wild in the pool and I lost a top once. But mostly bikinis for me.
I am a competitive runner so that got me back into shape quickly. I also crosstrain a lot now. No stretch marks... well, very faint skin colored ones that only I can see. DH thinks i'm crazy but they are there!

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
Yes..I wear them..but I am not 100% comfortable. I am thin but I have never been 100% comfortable with my body. I have some loose skin and some more toning to do but I am overall I am ok with it considering I had twins. I do have a fee tankinis I wear for playdates when I'm alone and running all over

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
I am pregnant with # 2 and I will have 2 under 2. I am lucky because I dont have any stretch marks and my due date is approaching. I am hoping to be in a bikini next summer but plan on going on my first ever diet and getting down to what I weighed 10 years ago. If not, I will be wearing a cover up over a bikini because I wouldnt feel comfortable in a 1 piece or tankini.

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
I have never worn anything other than a bikini, even while 9 months pregnant. I was lucky to not/get any stretch marks. I wore my bikini again the summer DD was born as soon as my PP bleeding stopped and I could go in the pool.

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
DD #1 was born in 2010 and I was in a bikini right after my post partum bleeding stopped - so 2 weeks
DD #2 is almost a month old and I was back in my bikini at about 3 weeks.
I am not 100% back to my original body but I have no stretch marks, am less then my pre-pregnancy weight but need to tone everything up to feel 100% back to normal. I have been in my bikini in my backyard only and only in front of DH. If we were going to go out in front of other people I would wear a tankini but that is my own issues more than me not being able to actually wear a bikini

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?
I do.
My ds#2 is 5 1/2 months old. I have no stretch marks. I'm still trying to get back in shape but i just don't care. I think i look fairly well for just having a baby 5 months ago and i refuse to wear a tankini.
ds#1 (27 yrs old)- weight fell off and i got my body back right away.
ds#2 (31 yrs old)- all weight fell off except 7 lbs. It's been a lot harder to tone everything and get back in shape. I also refuse to diet (i like food too much) so i probably could be doing better. For now, i go running as much as i can.
