WWYD- sick related

DS has a fever of 103 a little congested.

2 weeks ago I brought him to ped bc he had a fever. She said he had some fluid in his ears but no infection.

She told me to bring him back for a recheck...I forgotChat Icon Chat Icon

Now has a fever..not tugging on his ear

Ped is closed today.

Would you take him to pm peds or wait it out til tom and see how he is.

I feel like I am constantly taking them to the ped for a fever....to find out it is viral.

I don't mind taking him but hate always being so quick to run to ped.

thanks!

happy 4th

Re: WWYD- sick related

PM Peds won't do a consult over the phone.. They will say to bring him in. I would wait until tomorrow. As long as he doesn't seem to be in pain, I would wait. How high of a fever?

Re: WWYD- sick related

I have a feeling it is viral, we are going through the same thing right now too...my DD's temp keeps going up to 104 (for the past 2 days), today it is more like 99/100.
I called her ped, they said there is nothing you can do...since my DD is eating and drinking and acting like every other day, they say she is fine to keep giving her Motrin to keep the temps down.

They did say if for any reason there is a change in her behavior to call them and bring her in.
