11wk old formula?sleeping ?

DS drinks anywhere from 4-6 oz bottles about every 3-4 hours. Usually his last night nottle is at about 9ish and he falls asleep around 10ish....and wakes about 2am. So he goes 5 hrs from last feeding and 4 hours asleep. Anyway to get him to sleep longer at night????

Hey Debbie!

I try to hold DS off for a little longer before his nighttime bottle so he eats more and then sleeps longer. Are you swaddling him?

Hi Jen!!!! Ok. No he hates being swaddled. Yes sometimes we give him an ounce or. Before he goes to sleep if there is an hour or 2 in between but it doesn't do that much.

There's this thing called the miracle blanket.
Go get it. 1st night in it, Shane slept for like 7 hours. He hated being swaddled and I was never a swaddle person, but this thing is the best thing ever. Before I started using it, he was getting up like 3-4x a night.

The book I followed, the baby whisperer, suggests doing a dream feed. It worked well with my DS, and he out grew it around 4 months old.

Basically we feed him in his sleep between 10 and 11 pm. Usually closer to 10 as I could barely stay up past 10. I know in the book it says do not dream feed after 11 pm. I don't remember the logic behind that, but I loved the book and followed what she said.
