Child hitting themselves
over the past few weeks we have seen our son swat at his face when he is fustrated, angry, mad, throwing a tandtrum.
when we tell him stop hitting himself he usally hit us.
Is this unusal behavior for an almost 3 year old. he wll be 3 in sept.

DS would bang his head on the floor or bite his finger.
IMO: It's attention seeking. It may be hard, but ignore it.
Also, I did read somewhere that it's totally normal.

My dd is almost 2 and hits herself when she gets really frustrated. I agree it's for attention. I just ignore her when she does it.
