1st Trip to Dentist
When did you first take your little one(s) to the dentist? Did you go to a pediatric dentist? What did they do at your first appt?

About 1 y/o. They basically just looked in their mouth and counted teeth. We went to That Broadway Smile in Massapequa. Highly recommend them.

just before he turned 3. My Ped said to wait until they could sit for the exam. At 3yo DS had the full workup, with xrays, cleaning, counting teeth etc.
ETA: Yes we go to a ped dentist in commack

3 years old to a pediatric dentist.
They did not do xrays, unless they saw something suspicious (which they did not). They also did not do a flouride treatment on my DD b/c they said she was swallowing too much during the exam. Basically it was a cleaning and visual exam for her first visit.They also showed her how to floss and talked about the importance of brushing so your teeth don't get boo boos, etc.

Ann was originally scheduled to come with me back in January to my cleaning but she was sick so her first visit will be in August. She turns 3 on July 1st.
