Repeat CSection
Do you have your repeat scheduled c/s scheduled for 39 weeks. My dr. Scheduled it at 39 weeks and my SIL thought it was strange. I told her that's when they usually do it right

Yup my dr. wanted it shceduled for 39 weeks too but because of a holiday I got bumped forward by 2 days.

Yes, it's typically 39 weeks or later. They used to do it earlier, but too many babies had issues from being born too early.
When does your SIL think your csection should be?

My understanding is that legally, you can't schedule a c-section before 39 weeks, unless there's medical documentation as to why you need it earlier.

This is correct. The hospital will not schedule a c/s earlier than 39 wks.
Depending on what your due date is and what the Dr's schedule is, having it scheduled on your 39 wks isn't bad.
For example, my Dr only does scheduled c/s on Tuesdays (that is the day he has rounds and knows he will be in the hospital). My due date is on a Wednesday, so I will really only have one option for a c/s, and that will eb the day before my due date b/c 1 week and 1 day before is too soon.
UNLESS medically necessary- then they can do a c/s prior to 39 wks

i was also told I would be scheduled for 39 weeks. they want to prevent you from going into labor.

Mine was supposed to be scheduled at 39 weeks but my Dr. scheduled a little ealier @ 38 weeks due to my blood pressure being high a couple of times (although it stabilizes) he is just unsure if it is an indication/sign it will lead to something else, he would rather take the safest route.

I had 2 repeat sections and both were sched for 39 weeks all though I ended up going earlier.
