Btdt repeat csection
My husband and i are going to try for our second child soon. We want our kids to be close in age and are very confident in ourselves. Our ds is going to be six months on the first. Is this too soon after a csection to start trying for number two maybe?

I had a C Section with my DD. Got PG with this one when she was 8 months old. They will be 16.5 months apart! My doctor never said anything about it being too close.

my doctor said ideally she'd like me to wait until 18 months after to get preggo again. I waited a little less than 13 months and she never said anything about it to me.

I already am anticipating that much lol. Thanks for the heads up. Either way running after a three year old would still be a pain in the butt while pregnant. So why wait haha.

I agree!!! We wanted them close in age and I wanted to get it over with while we were already in the mode of diapers, bottles, no social life ...

My dr. asked me not to ttc until DS was 1 year old.
The sooner you get PG, the higher your risk of rupture since your scar has less healing time.

I was told that although my obgyn normally recommends waiting 12 months from the birth of your first to get pregnant for a second, in my case, because I had a very difficult pregnancy I had to wait 18 months to try again. The reason they want you to wait until 12 months is that although the external scar has formed, not everything is healed all the way internally. Before trying to get PG I would call your obgyn to see what they advise. Good luck.

Thanks love. I plan on talking to my doctor before going through with anything. I would probably wait a few more months in reality anyways.

I believe they tell you to wait but I know SOOO many women who've gotten pregnant right after and had ZERO problems!

Thank you ladies. Called my doctor and he said two more months and he thinks I'm ready to go. He recommends no sooner than eight months.

Thank you love. My doc said just to wait two more months. So that's pretty doable. Two more months to buy tons of cute lingerie.

Got preggers when DS was 7 months old- they are 16 months apart- had c-sections for both. No complications, thank goodness.
