Re: Pros & Cons of WW
WW is an excellent program because its very well rounded. WW takes more into consideration than just calories. They take account for protein, fat, fiber, and carbs into their formula. You are also given ideas about what to eat, how much to eat, etc. They give you "Good Health Guidelines" to follow to ensure you are getting proper nutrition, enough calories AND you aren't hungry. WW is a very flexible, liveable plan.
It's a detailed and wonderful plan that you learn about as you sign up and attend meetings. WW has had many successful members because their plan works- the formula is based on scientific evidence.
Also, every week at the meeting there is a different topic that targets a different aspect of weight loss and healthy living.
I lost 60lbs on WW. I have seen others lose significant amounts of weight (up to 300lbs).
I can't think of any cons (I'm very partial to WW). Some might try to sway you away because of "free fruit and veggies". This is not accurate. You are guided to eat a certain amount of fruits and veggies (not unlimited) that is already factored into your daily food intake.
If you have any questions, FM me!!

Re: Pros & Cons of WW
I also had great success on weight watchers - I lost a lot of weight many years ago and have kept it off (over 13 years now!! ).
I like Weight Watchers because they teach you how to work the program as a lifestyle, not as a quick fix diet.
Nothing is forbidden, which I also like - It all works into a healthy lifestyle.

Re: Pros & Cons of WW
I cannot think of any con, plus its relatively an affordable weight management system.
I LOVE it. I still eat my McDonalds once a week, I'm rarely "starving" and I find myself making better choices because of it.
I lost 65lbs on WW before I had my DS#2, now back at it for a month, I've lost 13.4lbs. I have over 100lbs to go, so for me, its a long haul, but I'm ready for the course!!
The meetings & relationships at WWs are extremely crucial to my personal success.

Re: Pros & Cons of WW
I joined WW for the 1st time after having dd and putting on over 20 extra pounds.. The program is easy to follow and makes you so much more aware of what you are eating and HOW much of it you are eating. I can not complain ive had a great experience on WW i am satisfed threwout the day and I still get to go out to eatevery now and then have a drink or two and even eat icecream once in a while.. I've been a member for about 3 1/2 months now and im down 30 pounds!!

Re: Pros & Cons of WW
I would never suggest any other weight loss plan. It teaches you how to eat, yet you can still eat EVERYTHING. I have been on it many times over the years and I always lose the weight. Keeping it off is the hard part, since you go back to old habits easily. But I think it's just great.

I also eat fast food at least once a week, only I eat less of it b/c I am more aware.
I eat McDonalds, Panera, pizza, you name it, I can eat it. And that's why it works.
I also must go to a weekly mtg or I lose focus.
