St. Catherines Maternity??
Anyone going to be delvering at St. Catherines?? Someone recently told me that they were changing the maternity floor and i was wondering if anyone knows if this is true and if so what kind of changes did they make??/ I was there in 2010 and was not happy with the way the rooms were set up and have been debating finding a new OBGYN so when i get prego again it wont be at st. catherines...

Re: St. Catherines Maternity??
I delivered there twice and hated it both times. I was considering switching doctors, too. But my OB told me that they have four private rooms now and are building four more. I still want to call the hospital and confirm that.

Not sure what kind of birth you're looking for, but they officially have the highest c-section rates on LI. Just something to consider.

Crashing here but I was just there this weekend (for something else) and they are opening a new maternity ward this summer. I was thrilled because my practice delivers there!

The thing with this is it's the OB's doing the sections, not the hospital. I would be much more concerned with my particular physician/group's section rate/beliefs than the overall hospital. This is where you really need to talk to your doctor and express your concerns and goals for delivery.
