Hospital!! i want my tim at home to rest and relax when I can and not to feel like I have to stay awake becaus we have company.

It honestly doesnt matter to me... its my 1st time so i havent a clue how i will feel or what to expect. Maybe the 2nd time around I'd know more what i want/like, but for now I'm clueless. We both have very small families - so i only have my parents, sister & niece, in-laws and dh's grandma plus maybe 2 friends, if that, that would show up either place at all.

Hospital. The first time around I had a ton of both. I was a bit angry that the hospital let my cousin in to see me in recovery, minutes after the baby was brought to me. I was even angrier that my cousin came at that time. It was crazy that at one point I had 31 visitors at the hospital at once. I had to put the baby in the nursery amd stand in the hallway because there wasn't enough room in my room. I'm just glad they gave me some time once I got home.

All my relatives who came to visit at the hospital also passed by when we got home!!! 
I would definitely prefer hospital but didn't want to offend people when they asked to come over

Def home for me but after at least a week or two after i come home myself. I really only want my immediate family at the hospital

Neither!!! I was an effing mess after DS was born. He wasn't latching so I was devoting all of my time and energy into attempting nursing and pumping. I pumped while I had visitors in the hospital. I didn't care. Then at home they wouldn't leave.. Ugh!
But, in retrospect. Hospital. At least they got kicked out after a while.

Hospital. After DH being in the house without me to clean for a couple of days I could only imagine what it would look like!!
Parents and siblings can visit us at home, but other than that I'd rather everyone else come to the hospital. I'd end up trying to clean my floors the same I get home!

Definately the hospital! They don't stay as long in the hospital. If they come to my house with a gift I feel obligated to get up and offer them tea/ coffee.
As for immediate family members like mom and sis, they can come whenever and wherever as long as they cook and clean for me.

Before giving birth to DS, I told people to come visit me at the hospital. However, afterwards I regretted that decision.
DS was in the NICU and I had my own issues post delivery, so visiting was stressful. No one was able to see DS in the NICU besides me, DH, and the grandparents so it was kinda pointless for everyone to be there. I had visitors up at the hospital rotating throughout all the visiting hours, so I had to repeat the whole story as to why DS was in the NICU, what was going on with me, etc. And trying to run down to the NICU to see the baby and entertain visitors was tough.
My advice would be to just wait until after you deliver to tell people whether or not you want visitors at the hospital.

I loved visitors in the hospital...We had people in my room one night until 10 or 11...I didn't have a roomate and shut the door.
